Upon receipt, you may find that the tube has a little fat to protect the oil from wear. This is standard practice and safe. Be sure to wash it carefully. Make sure your pepper or sauce particles are ground well, otherwise they will clog its holes. The holes in the injection site of the tenderizer are designed to be small and will prevent larger particles from being injected into the meat.
